I saw a special on TV (might have been PBS) about this song. The statistics were truly "amazing". I enjoyed this rendition very much.

Hi Kymber

I came across your blog and wanted to stop in a say hi. My husband and I left our home in Pa. and moved to Florida last yr. We also sold most of our things. It has been a challenge to start over, especially when you own a business but the weather makes up for it. I am new to the blog world as well.
Best of luck as you feather your new nest.

Hi Glenda,
This song is so dear to me. I have a picture on my wall that reminds me of it everytime I pass it. I guess I should have shown it on my post - oh well!
I love Todd Agnew's voice so much - what is it about certain singing voices that just seem to touch a person so deeply? Like I have said before - I am so moved by certain songs and I get goosebumps when listening to some of them. I can always evoke a memory with certain songs too. When I hear them it takes me right back to the year I heard it. I am sure everyone can say that though.
I hope you have a wonderful New Years celebration. I will probably be long asleep by the time the clock stricks midnight. :)
Take Care,
Kymber

We have also slept through the coming of the New Year for the past several years. Maybe not this year though. DH has purchased a small package of fireworks that he plans to set off for the GC. That will be early enough that we still may be asleep at midnight.

One song that always trigs my trigger is "Bringing In The Sheaves". I remember trying to play it on a small organ an Aunt (one of Mother's sisters) gave Mother. It had a book that you could play by number. I never tired of trying, though I was never very good. I think I'm tone deaf. I can't carry a tune in a bucket with a lid on it. Mother could play by ear. She had so many talents.
