How Can I Keep From Singing Your Praise

I encourage you to stop by and visit all of the participants of Spiritual Sundays. Such an uplifting way to spend a Sunday! Read a variety of wonderful devotions, Bible passages, and listen to edifying music while praising the Lord on His special day of rest for your soul. A special thank you to Charlotte and Ginger for organizing this awesome event for us each week!
Today I want to share with you a song that makes my heart sing every time I hear it! This week has been a week of discovery for me as I began my first week back to school. The Lord is teaching me every day that I need to keep Him in the driver's seat in my life and I am so glad that He is there! I look at things so differently when I look at life through the eyes of faith. It is so easy at times to be discouraged or scared - but when you look at everything through the eyes of faith - God is there to guide you every step of the way!
I heard this wonderful song on the radio the other day while driving home and knew I wanted to share it with YOU. I shared it with everyone that day as I shouted this song of praise from my car as I drove merrily along. *giggle*
It is one of those songs that make you want to sing loudly with outstretched hands! I hope you feel the joy of God's love for you today - His beautiful and amazing love!

1 Shout with joy to God, all the earth!
2 Sing the glory of his name;
make his praise glorious!
3 Say to God, "How awesome are your deeds!
So great is your power that your enemies cringe before you.
4 All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you, they sing praise to your name."
Selah
5 Come and see what God has done, how awesome his works in man's behalf!
6 He turned the sea into dry land, they passed through the waters on foot—
come, let us rejoice in him.
7 He rules forever by his power, his eyes watch the nations—
let not the rebellious rise up against him.
Selah
8 Praise our God, O peoples,
let the sound of his praise be heard;
9 he has preserved our lives and kept our feet from slipping.
10 For you, O God, tested us;
you refined us like silver.
11 You brought us into prison and laid burdens on our backs.
12 You let men ride over our heads;
we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance.
13 I will come to your temple with burnt offerings and fulfill my vows to you-
14 vows my lips promised and my mouth spoke when I was in trouble.
15 I will sacrifice fat animals to you and an offering of rams;
I will offer bulls and goats.
Selah
16 Come and listen, all you who fear God;
let me tell you what he has done for me.
17 I cried out to him with my mouth;
his praise was on my tongue.
18 If I had cherished sin in my heart, the Lord would not have listened;
19 but God has surely listened and heard my voice in prayer.
20 Praise be to God,
who has not rejected my prayer
or withheld his love from me!
Psalm 66
New International Version

Blessings,
Kymber

Kymber, what a great song. Who is the artist/songwriter? I think that one needs to be running through the head of just about everyone I know including myself. I love it. Thank you for posting it and the great scripture afterwards.

I have enough mercy not to sing aloud when others are around. In this life, I can't carry a tune, but I look forward to the day that I can sing in God's choir.

Kymber, love those words taken from the Psalms! And He is awesome and worthy to be praised!

I'm so glad you put the words with this since my sound is still messed up on my lap top. I will try to listen to this when it's back up and running (though that might be a week or so).

Love to you this morning, and I hope all goes well with you this week with classes and family obligations. We are celebrating my godchild's birthday today, so I am really praising God!

Love to you...

XO,

Sheila :-)

What a beautiful song, thank you for sharing. I wish you the best of luck with school. I start school next week. I will be going to school full time and working full time. Yikes. It looks like both of us will be burning the candle at both ends.
