O Lord You're Beautiful

The song that I want to share with you today is an older song. It was written and recorded in 1979 by a man named Keith Green. Keith Green was a great man of God who was tragically taken from this life in 1982 in a plane crash along with two of his children. He is now where he most longed to be singing his praises to God face to face.

This beautiful man had quite an influence on me when I was a young, struggling Christian. His faith was unwavering and he spoke about it to everyone he met.

If you would like to read more about this amazing man of God, his wife has written a book about his life called, "No Compromise -The Life Story of Keith Green" by Melody Green and David Hazard.
In this book, Melody shares excerpts of a diary that Keith wrote as he struggled to be the man that he believed God was calling him to be. Some of his earliest writings spoke volumes about the kind of man he was. He wrote;
"The Calling - oh I feel the calling so strong tonight. To join the Holy army and fight the numbness in the world toward God...
I want to die for you God and be reborn a whole disciple. Living, emulating, and shining your will, teachings, and bearing fruit everyday...The devil hates me more every day. He despises me more, the more I get closer to you. He's losing his grip. Praise you God. Your light is the only thing I want to see - and the only thing I want to reflect..."

His powerful words pour out through his music. I picked this one to share with you, but there are so many more that are just as beautiful.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Have a blessed day today!

Glenda,
I saw the video this morning and commented about it on my last post.

If you are interested, you can find other songs by Keith Green as well as a few interesting interviews that he gave over the years - on youtube. There is an interview called "The Enthusiastic Evangelist" that really shows the person that he is.

Have a great day today!

Glenda,
Whie looking up things on youtube I also found a neat documentary on Keith - look up The Keith Green Story part 1/7
It tells the whole story of his life in seven parts. Narrated in parts by his wife also.
