Blessings in Disguise

We may not always understand why we have to bear crosses in this life - but what if they are meant as blessings in disguise? It is always during the times of greatest struggle, that I cling to the Lord the most.

22 “Joseph is a fruitful vine,
a fruitful vine near a spring,
whose branches climb over a wall.
23 With bitterness archers attacked him;
they shot at him with hostility.
24 But his bow remained steady,
his strong arms stayed limber,
because of the hand of the Mighty One of Jacob,
because of the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel,
25 because of your father’s God, who helps you,
because of the Almighty, who blesses you
with blessings of the skies above,
blessings of the deep springs below,
blessings of the breast and womb.
26 Your father’s blessings are greater
than the blessings of the ancient mountains,
than the bounty of the age-old hills.
Let all these rest on the head of Joseph,
on the brow of the prince among his brothers.
Genesis 49:22-26

God will not permit any troubles to come upon us, unless He has a specific plan by which great blessing can come out of the difficulty.
Peter Marshall

May God pour out His richest blessings on you today and may you feel his love through the process,
Kymber

The Lord had shown me this song that I kept playing over and over and even bought the CD as I started my battle at work. It is a "blessing" to hear it again. May we persevere sister with all the trials we encounter. Have a great weekend!

Dear Kymber,

I just wanted to thank you so much for the encouraging comments you left on my recent book review of Living Close To God. Publishing a less-than-positive review can be challenging, and I appreciate support from those who understand that my first obligation is to my Maker above.

You have a wonderfully inspiring blog and I pray that God continues to use you mightily through it. I am a new follower and I look forward to getting to know you.

Blessings in disguise. I've had some of those -- at the time never considering it was even near a blessing. God loves blessing His children.

Wow Kymber, I cried all the way through. So moving... I'm glad to hear that things are going well for you and in your career. I have been away from my blog and have not talked to you in awhile. I believe we both went back to school around the same time. I finished school and sat for my board exam in Dec. It was grueling, 5 hr 40 min timed test. Thank you Jesus, I passed. We also moved from Florida to Texas last month. So getting our business going here and also sending out resumes for medical jobs has been nerve racking. Sometimes I feel that God doesn't hear my call, this song really touched my heart.
Blessings,
Kathleen
