It's Starting To Look Like Fall Y'all!

The outdoor colors are only just beginning to turn on the trees but I am feeling the need to decorate my house for Fall. One of my favorite times of the year for decorating~!

I am in between quarters in school right now and enjoying my break from the books this week. I studied very hard last quarter and came away with an A ! Thank you God! I really couldn't have done it without His continued guidance and support. HE is the One who is carrying me through this new journey I am on! Studying and retaining information at my age isn't as easy as it used to be! It is a constant struggle and I have to keep my face in the books constantly just to keep my head above water!

I am very happy for the needed break and have been having fun this week pulling out all of the decor for Fall. I don't have very much, and what I DO have will probably get moved around a bit before I am happy with it, but it has been fun to look at my old favorites, and new things that I have acquired from my trips to the thrift store.

I found this beautiful vase while at the Goodwill a few weeks ago and knew that I wanted to fill it with Sunflowers. Faux flowers fit into my lifestyle better at this time - this adds a little dash of color by my front door!
This little vignette sits atop a table in our entry way. ALL items were thrift store finds. I filled the glass candle holder with black and northern beans to add some color (an idea I learned from a crafty blogger friend) and stuck a candle inside.

I fell in love with this little guy - it looks dusty - but it isn't - I may have to paint this all one color because I am not sure if I LIKE the faux dusty look :-)

This tray is another great new find from the Goodwill. I love it! Just added some pinecones and candles - instant warmth!
I LOVE to decorate my home on a budget - why pay full price when you can make it look warm and homey for half the amount that you see in the stores and big name catalogs? It has become a hobby of mine to try to make my house a home for less - which THEN gives me more money that I can spend on my kiddos. Works for me!
It has been fun visiting all of your blogs this week! I look forward to getting caught up with you all and thank you for stopping by to visit - I enjoy getting to know each and every one of you and consider you all friends!
Blessings to you,

Happy Fall...Wish I can agree with you that it is here :(

Over here, we're still enduring hot, summer temps...

Beautiful decorations sister Kymber. I think it is the warm people that makes a home a HOME and I know you're that way...I'm glad you're getting that much needed break and congratulations for that "A"...A- or A+ is still an "A" and that's Awesome!!! Take care of yourself...God bless.

Hi Kymber, thank you for your wonderful comments the other day. I hope you enjoy the time off. I have my midterm on Friday followed by 2 more weeks and two more tests for A&P. Then, Fall break from school. I also decided to take a weeks vacation and try to breathe. Thank God breathing is involuntary because if it wasn't, I'd be dead. I am going to head back to Pa. to visit with family and friends. I can't wait. I'm starting to do the happy dance. I didn't realize how much I needed a break until I booked my flight. My BFF is even paying for part of my ticket. Can't wait to have some much needed girl time and lots of giggles.
Have a great week. Big hugs to you.

I sure hope you were not severely impacted by the horrible weather earlier this week. What a blessing that you were out of school and didn't have to travel on the roads.

Your burying your head in your books certainly paid off, with an excellent grade. Good job, well done.

I hear that late next week, we will have cooler, more fall like temperatures in my area. They will be welcome for sure. It won't too long before God's paintbrush splashes the landscape with beautiful color, as only he can.

Enjoy your time off from school, so that you can return, refreshed and ready to do it again.

Hi Beginner,
Thank you for the sweet commens about my grade. I am so glad that I am done! That class was so intense - but I learned so much from it. It was SO interesting!

I sure hope you fared well through the storm too! Thankfully we were spared - we live on a hill so we don't need to worry about flooding - I can't belive the devastation the rains caused here!

I look forward to the beautiful colors that GOd paints the trees here in the Fall. It is truly my favorite time of year.
Have a good week my friend!
Kymber

I really enjoyed this blog and a few other of yours as well. I especially enjoyed the one about the older woman you prayed with...It is all sooo true. Our time here is soo limited. We have to make it count for Him. Your decorations for fall are warm and inviting....I am going to start following your blog as closely as I can. I cannot believe how many truly inspiring blogs I keep finding. Blessings to you, Debbie

I just found your blog, and I love it! What a wonderful post about praying with the elderly woman. My mom is in a nursing home, and I would love it if someone would be praying with her during a day. Thank you for taking the time.
